A fast-growing Brisbane digital marketing agency is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager to work closely with a small portfolio of consumer-facing brands across outdoor, lifestyle, retail and eCommerce.


This is not a traditional agency role where you are spread thin across dozens of accounts. The model is much more embedded. You will work with a select group of clients as their external digital marketing partner, helping them connect paid media, content, website, CRM and commercial strategy into one joined-up growth plan.


The ideal background is someone who has worked with consumer brands, whether direct-to-consumer, B2B2C, retail, eCommerce, lifestyle products, or high-value consumer lead nurturing where trust, education and conversion over time are critical.


This role needs someone who understands how consumers make buying decisions, not just how to run campaigns. You will need to think about product performance, creative messaging, website conversion, repeat purchase, customer education, email nurturing and how digital activity drives both online revenue and real-world commercial outcomes.


What you will be doing:

  • Managing a small portfolio of 3 to 4 clients as their dedicated digital marketing lead.
  • Building and optimising campaigns across Meta, Google Ads and other paid channels.
  • Reviewing performance across ROAS, CPA, AOV, conversion rate and revenue contribution.
  • Working across eCommerce, retail, lifestyle and consumer-facing customer journeys.
  • Translating client goals into campaign strategy, channel plans and execution.
  • Briefing creative teams on ad concepts, content angles, product messaging and campaign assets.
  • Working across website improvements, landing pages, CRO and product page optimisation.
  • Supporting email and CRM activity, including campaign sends, lifecycle flows and nurture journeys.
  • Helping clients improve how they educate, convert and retain customers.
  • Reporting to clients clearly and commercially, with practical recommendations.
  • Connecting digital activity to broader business outcomes, including online sales, lead nurturing, in-store activity and customer retention.


What we are looking for:

  • Experience in digital marketing across consumer-facing brands.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Meta and Google Ads.
  • Experience with eCommerce, retail, lifestyle, DTC or B2B2C environments.
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics such as ROAS, CPA, AOV, CVR and customer acquisition.
  • Confidence working across website, CRO, email, content and paid media.
  • Ability to interpret customer behaviour and buying intent, not just campaign data.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills.
  • A practical, coachable and commercially minded approach.
  • Comfortable being hands-on while still contributing strategically.
  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Merchant Centre, GA4, Meta Ads Manager or similar tools would be highly regarded.


This role would suit someone coming from:

  • A digital agency managing consumer brands.
  • An eCommerce or retail marketing role.
  • A DTC brand environment.
  • A lifestyle, outdoor, beauty, fashion, health, wellness, home, automotive accessory or consumer product business.
  • A high-value consumer lead nurturing environment such as education, dental, cosmetic clinics, travel, home improvement, finance, automotive or similar.


This role is probably not right if your background is mainly B2B SaaS, corporate services, SEO-only, campaign coordination, or pure strategy without hands-on execution.
